1. The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term will be from April to September and the second term from October to March. The scheme of evaluation will be as follows :

2. Formative Assessment rounds 1, 2, 3, 4 comprise of pen and paper tests, class work and homework, and a variety of learning activities like projects, assignments, lab activities, seminars, oral tests, group work and visual interpretation tests. Participation in these activities and submission of tasks given ismandatory. Any unauthorized absence from or failure to submit in time, the work given will render the student concerned liable to be awarded a zero in that activity.
3. Summative Assessment is a ‘Pen and Paper Test’ only.
4. Students will be given a report card on the format prescribed by the Board    reflecting both Formative and Summative Assessment in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas after every formative and summative assessment. In scholastic areas, they will be awardedgrades as per the latest 9 point grading scheme of the Board.

5. The formative and summative evaluation pattern will be followed in :
( i) English, Hindi or other second language
(ii) Maths, Science and Social Sciences
(iii) The Third Language will have four formative tests and two summative tests.
