Brief Information

Anand Isher Sr Sec Public School is run under the auspices of Anand Isher Educational Charitable Trust. The school was founded by Sant Baba Amar Singh Ji in 1979. It is named after the two founder saints of Nanaksar – Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji and Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji (Kaleran Wale). It is an English Medium co-educational school catering to students from Nursery to Class XII (Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce). The school has, over the years achieved commendable results both in the academic and sports field. Encouraged by parents especially of girl students, the school decided to open up senior secondary classes. Two classes of Science: Medical and Non-Medical were started in 1995. Good students who used to seek seats in Ludhiana or Chandigarh opted to remain in Anand Isher Sr. Sec. Public School.

Encouraged by the good Board results of Class XII the school opened a Commerce stream in 1997. With the able guidance and teaching of our competent, well qualified and experienced staff members, the school has been achieving its goal of giving a good all round comprehensive education to the students of near and far-flung villages. The school prides itself in intensive care and coaching of the students. The Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce students have gone on to become doctors, dentists, engineers, charted accountants, professors, lecturers, lawyers and bank officers. Sports and games are a significant part of the school’s life. 10+1 students are encouraged to take part in at least one discipline in sports. Football, Hockey, Basketball and Volleyball are mainstream sports. There is also provision for badminton and tabletennis. All students are kept busy in various sports, games and co-curricular activities organized in the school. Tug-of-War is an annual event in which all the Houses participate. A New Primary Wing for classes 1-5 was inaugurated in 2020. The new Primary Wing has its own computer lab and library. Keeping in mind the health and fitness of children Physical Education activities form an important part of the school curriculum. The Montessori Wing takes in children from the age of 2½. This is a special wing of the under the leadership of a trained Montessori Teacher. Learning is based on an inner need of children, often expressed by, “Help me to do it myself.” Simply put the child is given opportunities to discover him/herself

It is 26 kms from Ludhiana City and 23 kms from Malerkotla. The nearest railway station is at Ahmedgarh which is less than 1 km from the school.
